Porsche reveals Taycan’s electric release date. See the sprint from 0 to 200 km / h

The Zuffenhausen concern is not going to lag behind the competition and finally wants to show the world that it can also create an electric and ecological vehicle, and at the same time very practical and with a sporting flair.

Taycan is created as part of the Mission-E project, which Prosche has spent over a billion euros over the past few years. It paid off, because the vehicle impresses with its appearance, the latest technologies and performance not only of the brand’s fans, but also of racial racing drivers. The company said that the car is so popular that all production for 2020 has already been sold out, and it should be added here that it is about 40,000 units.

Porsche has just announced the official premiere of the vehicle, which will take place in three countries simultaneously (in Germany, China and Canada) already on September 4 at 15:00 Polish time and will be broadcast live via the Internet worldwide. According to information provided by the company’s press office, Mark Webber will participate in this major automotive event.

The most powerful version of Taycana, i.e. Turbo, is to have a battery with a capacity of 96 kWh and electric motors with a total power of over 600 MK and 880 Nm, but the torque will be able to increase for 10 seconds, at the press of a special button, up to even 1000 Nm. The vehicle is to accelerate to 100 km / h in less than 3.2 seconds, reach 200 km / h in about 11 seconds and accelerate to 261 km / h. On board will be batteries that will allow a range of up to 515 kilometers (WLTP). With a 250 kW charger, charging time up to 80 percent of the capacity takes about 40 minutes, and with 800 kW less than 15 minutes. This awesome version will cost around PLN 770 thousand.

The German concern, however, announces that plans are also even hotter version of Turbo S with four-wheel drive and power over 730 hp. Of course, cheaper versions will also appear on offer. Among them will be the one with 327 or 381 hp, rear-wheel drive and 80 kW battery. Their prices are to be affordable and lower than Panamera. Experts estimate that this could be an amount of around PLN 400,000.

In the video above you can see the latest test of Taycan, which could be carried out by automotive journalist Jonny Smith from the YouTube channel Fully Charged. Smith was delighted with the vehicle’s performance, because he was able to accelerate from zero to 200 km / h over 20 times.
